Terbuthylazine is a triazine herbicide.{63039} Terbuthylazine is active against a variety of broadleaf and grass weeds, including A. retroflexus, D. stramonium, S. nigrum, and S. halepense, when used in combination with (S)-metolachlor.{63040} It has been found in surface groundwater and soil samples.{63041,63042} Formulations containing terbuthylazine have been used for weed control in agriculture and as algicides in water coolant systems.
