Tabersonine is an indole alkaloid that has been found in the beans of Voacanga.{43901} It inhibits amyloid-? (1-42) (A?42) fibril formation and disintegrates preformed A?42 fibrils in vitro when used at a concentration of 10 ?M. Tabersonine is an intermediate in the biosynthesis of vindoline, a precursor in the synthesis of anticancer agents.{43907}
