Cayman’s protein A/G-coated 96-well strip plates are high absorbance 96-well plates coated with a saturated concentration of highly pure protein A and protein G. The protein A/G-coated wells specifically bind the Fc region of IgGs resulting in an antibody orientation that will direct the antigen binding site away from the surface and offer maximum exposure of the binding site. These 96-well strip plates detect antibodies using labeled antigens, including small molecule, peptide, or protein antigens, and are ideal when a low amount of antibody is used. They are recommended for use in single antibody assays and are not suitable for multiple antibody assays, such as sandwich ELISAs. The protein A/G-coated 96-well strip plates provide an alternative to direct and passive adsorption methods of immobilizing antibodies that may render antibodies inactive. These 96-well strip plates have a high binding capacity (2-5 pmol antibody/well), low background, and minimal variation between wells (<7% well-to-well).
