Hydrocortisone aceponate is a corticosteroid.{68100,68101} Topical application of hydrocortisone aceponate (0.0584%) reduces lesion size and pruritis in cats with allergic dermatitis.{68100} It also induces remission and increases time to relapse in dogs with spontaneous atopic dermatitis.{68101} Formulations containing hydrocortisone aceponate have been used in the treatment of veterinary dermatoses.
