Dopastin is a bacterial metabolite that has been found in Pseudomonas and an inhibitor of dopamine ?-hydroxylase (Ki = 4.7 µM).{62176,62177} In vivo, dopastin (20 mg/kg) reduces mean systolic blood pressure in spontaneously hypertensive rats. Dopastin also inhibits the germination of barley seeds (IC50 = 47 µM).{62177}
