Corticostatin is a corticostatic peptide that has been found in human granulocytes.{37733} It inhibits corticosterone production stimulated by adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) in rat adrenal cells (IC50 = 0.7 ?M). Corticostatin also reduces mitogen-stimulated release of IFN-? and IL-6 in human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs).{37734}
