Bafilomycin C1 is a fungal metabolite that has been found in Streptomyces and has diverse biological activities.{20718,60646,60644,61224,31293,60645} It inhibits the activities of vacuolar H+-ATPases (V-ATPases) and Na+/K+-ATPases in a concentration-dependent manner.{60646,60644} Bafilomycin C1 (1 mg/ml) is active against a panel of 24 fungi in a disc assay.{61224} It inhibits angiogenesis in a chorioallantoic membrane (CAM) assay when used at concentrations of 0.03, 0.1, or 0.3 µM.{31293} Bafilomycin C1 reduces viral genome copy numbers in the culture supernatant of Vero E6 cells infected with H1N1 influenza A.{60645}
