Acebilustat is an inhibitor of leukotriene A4 (LTA4) hydrolase, the rate-limiting enzyme in LTB4 synthesis.{62037} It reduces the transmigration of polymorphonuclear neutrophils (PMNs) from an epithelial monolayer to airway supernatant derived from sputum isolated from patients with cystic fibrosis when used at a concentration of 1 µM.{62038}
