Thyroid transcription factor-1 (TTF1) is a member of the NKX2 transcription factor family.{58256,58254} It is expressed in the thyroid, pulmonary epithelium, and hypothalamus, and localized to the nucleus, where it functions as a lineage regulator inducing tissue-specific gene expression.{58256,58255} TTF1 is expressed in the majority of lung adenocarcinomas, acting as a lineage survival oncogene.{58254} However, it also functions as a tumor suppressor and is positively correlated with favorable outcomes in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).{58254,58255} TTF1 is expressed in some breast and ovarian cancers and is correlated with high grade and poorer disease-specific survival, respectively.{58255} Cayman’s TTF1 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody can be used for immunohistochemistry (IHC) and Western blot (WB) applications.
