Gadoteridol is a gadolinium-based MRI contrast agent.{62123,62124} It enhances the visibility of intraparenchymal and meningeal tumors in an orthotopic rat model of brain cancer when administered at a dose of 0.25 mmol/kg.{62123} In vitro labeling of murine mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) with gadoteridol and subsequent injection into mice has been used to track their migration to spinal cord injury lesions in vivo.{62124} Formulations containing gadoteridol have been used to visualize intra- and extracranial lesions in the head, neck, and spine.
