C-170 is an inhibitor of stimulator of interferon genes (STING).{35390,50925} It binds to STING, inhibits its palmitoylation, and prevents the recruitment and phosphorylation of TBK1.{35390} It selectively reduces human and mouse STING-, but not RIG-I- or TBK1-, mediated IFN-? reporter activity in HEK293 cells when used at concentrations ranging from 0.02 to 2 µM.
