?-Lipomycin is an antibiotic originally isolated from S. aureofaciens.{36340} It is the glycoside form of ?-lipomycin that has activity against Gram-positive bacteria but not against fungi or yeasts. The antibiotic activity of ?-lipomycin is antagonized by some sterols and lecithin.
