5-hydroxy Diclofenac is an active metabolite of the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and COX inhibitor diclofenac (Item Nos. 70680 | 22983).{14145,64745} It is formed by the cytochrome P450 (CYP) isoforms CYP3A4, CYP2C9, CYP2C19, and CYP1A2.{64744} 5-hydroxy Diclofenac is cytotoxic to HL-60 leukemia cells (IC50 = 661 µM).{61708} It induces apoptosis and increases caspase-3 activity in rat hepatocytes in a concentration-dependent manner.{64745}
