Propranolol ?-D-glucuronide is a major metabolite of (±)-propranolol (Item No. 23349).{37043} The clearance of propranolol through glucuronidation is higher in men than women by approximately 50%. Propranolol ?-D-glucuronide has been detected in environmental water samples.{37042} Propranolol is a ?-adrenergic antagonist, and the active enantiomer, (S)-(-)-propranolol (Item No. 17291), has log Kd values of -8.16, -9.08, and -6.93 for ?1, ?2, and ?3, respectively.{25151,25396}
