Velpatasvir is a pan-genotypic hepatitis C virus (HCV) non-structural protein 5A (NS5A) inhibitor.{33518} It inhibits replication of HCV genotypes 1a, -1b, -2a, -2b, -3a, -4a, -5a, -6a, and -6e (EC50s = 6-130 pM in replicon assays). Formulations containing velpatasvir have been used in combination with sofosbuvir in the treatment of HCV infection.
