2C-N (Item No. 11890) is described formally as 2,5-dimethoxy-4-nitrophenethylamine and is structurally analogous to the psychedelic drug 2C-B (Item No. 11734). 2C-N potently stimulates arachidonic acid (Item No. 90010) release through the serotonin receptors 5-HT2C (pEC50 = 5.91) and 5-HT2A (pEC50 = 4.78).{20772} 25N-NBOMe is a derivative of 2C-N having an N-(2-methoxybenzyl) addition at the amine. For similar dimethoxyphenethylamines including 2C-B, this N-(2-methoxybenzyl) addition significantly increases activity at the serotonin receptor.{20443} This product is intended for forensic and research applications.
