AL 8810 is an 11?-fluoro analog of prostaglandin F2? (PGF2?) which acts as a potent and selective antagonist at the FP receptor.{7398} AL 8810 methyl ester is a lipid soluble, esterified prodrug form of AL 8810 analogous to the commonly used therapeutic intraocular prostaglandin compounds such as latanoprost{3802} and travoprost.{8839} The pharmacology of AL 8810 methyl ester has not been published.
