3,4-Methylenedioxy Pyrovalerone (3,4-MDPV) (Item No. 10624) is an analog of pyrovalerone (Item No. 10817) which includes the 3,4-methylenedioxy moiety found on 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine, a DEA Schedule I controlled substance. This synthetic cathinone has been reported by the DEA to be abused as a central nervous system stimulant.{19193,20369} It is an addictive stimulant that has distinct effects at different doses.{21394,21395,21396} (+)-3,4-MDPV is an enantiomerically pure isomer of 3,4-MDPV. Its properties, compared to the (?)-3,4-MDPV (Item No. 14525) stereoisomer, have not been evaluated. (+)-3,4-Methylenedioxy Pyrovalerone is regulated as a Schedule I compound in the United States.
