(1R,4R)-N-desmethyl Sertraline is a metabolite of the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) sertraline (Item No. 14839).{61885} It is formed from sertraline primarily by the cytochrome P450 (CYP) isoform CYP2B6 and to a lesser extent by CYP2C19, -2C9, -2D6, and -3A in human liver microsomes. (1R,4R)-N-desmethyl Sertraline has been found in wastewater effluent.{61886}
