15-keto Prostaglandin F2? (15-keto PGF2?) is the first metabolite of PGF2? (Item Nos. 16010 | 10007221). in the 15-hydroxy PGDH pathway. It is one of the critical components in the goldfish and Atlantic salmon postovulatory pheromone.{1586,3467} 15-keto PGF2? stimulates the male goldfish and salmon olfactory receptors with detection thresholds of 10-12 and 10-8 M, respectively.{1586,3467} 15-keto PGF2? is 10-fold less active than PGF2? in decreasing rabbit intraocular pressure.{2396} 15-keto PGF2? MaxSpec® standard is a quantitative grade standard of 15-keto PGF2? (Item No. 16720) that has been prepared specifically for mass spectrometry or any application where quantitative reproducibility is required. The solution has been prepared gravimetrically and is supplied in a deactivated glass ampule sealed under argon. The concentration was verified by comparison to an independently prepared calibration standard. This 15-keto PGF2? MaxSpec® standard is guaranteed to meet identity, purity, stability, and concentration specifications and is provided with a batch-specific certificate of analysis. Ongoing stability testing is performed to ensure the concentration remains accurate throughout the shelf life of the product. Note: The amount of solution added to the vial is in excess of the listed amount. Therefore, it is necessary to accurately measure volumes for preparation of calibration standards.
