11-dehydro Thromboxane B2 (11-dehydro TXB2) is a metabolite of TXA2 formed via the intermediate metabolite TXB2 (Item No. 19030).{11794} 11-dehydro TXB2 is formed from TXB2, which is produced by non-enzymatic hydrolysis of TXA2, by 11-hydroxythromboxane B2 dehydrogenase, also known as cytosolic aldehyde dehydrogenase, in tissues.{11794,20448} 11-dehydro-TXB2 has been used as a marker for TXA2 in vitro and in vivo.{11794} Urinary levels of 11-dehydro-TXB2 are associated with the risk of cardiovascular events and mortality in patients with atrial fibrillation.{60230} 11-dehydro TXB2 MaxSpec® standard is a quantitative grade standard of 11-dehydro TXB2 (Item No. 19500) that has been prepared specifically for mass spectrometry and related applications where quantitative reproducibility is required. The solution has been prepared gravimetrically and is supplied in a deactivated glass ampule sealed under argon. The concentration was verified by comparison to an independently prepared calibration standard. This 11-dehydro TXB2 MaxSpec® standard is guaranteed to meet identity, purity, stability, and concentration specifications and is provided with a batch-specific certificate of analysis. Ongoing stability testing is performed to ensure the concentration remains accurate throughout the shelf life of the product. Note: The amount of solution added to the vial is in excess of the listed amount. Therefore, it is necessary to accurately measure volumes for preparation of calibration standards. Follow recommended storage and handling conditions to maintain product quality.
