(Item No. 16540) by GC- or LC-MS. 11?-13,14-dihydro-15-keto PGF2? is a metabolite of prostaglandin D2 (PGD2; Item No. 12010) in the 15-hydroxy PGDH pathway.{11174,11176} Infusion or inhalation of tritiated PGD2 in normal males results in the appearance of peak levels of both 11?-PGF2?, as the immediate product, and 11?-13,14-dihydro-15-keto PGF2? in the plasma within 10 minutes.{11174} Homogenates of human lung metabolize PGD2 first to 11?-PGF2? and then to 11?-15-keto-PGF2? in the presence of NAD+, but not 11?-13,14-dihydro-15-keto PGF2?.{11176} Guinea pig liver and kidney homogenates metabolize PGD2 to 11?-13,14-dihydro-15-keto PGF2?, via 11?-PGF2?, in the presence of NAD+ and NADP+.{11176}
